OUR WEEK-LONG SUMMER CAMPS PROVIDE YOUTH WITH A FUN aND INSPIRATIONAL ENVIRONMENT FOR LEARNING and RECREATION. THE SUMMER PROGRAM offers HIGH QUALITY MUSIC EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT, BRINGING youth A SOURCE OF ENCOURAGEMENT, DISCIPLINE, AND A SENSE OF COMMUNITY.
Music activities include theory, ear training, and allow for gaining performance experience. Interactive instruction keeps camp interesting, builds a team environment and gives students a strong musical foundation. Each camp culminates with individual performances and/or group concerts.
The summer camps are structured for students to learn mainly on the piano, with optional electives in the afternoon including guitar, bass, voice, and art. Students participate in games and team building exercises throughout the day.

Rock Band Camp
Our week-long Rock Band Camp is a new offering. We are excited to offer a unique experience for our students centered around full-band rehearsals with professional musicians and instrumental/vocal breakouts for coaching from instructors. Weather permitting students go to the park for lunch and group activities. The week culminates in a concert on Friday.
Ages 10 – 17.
The UpBeat Rock Band Camp is for students with playing experience on voice, guitar, piano, bass or drums.
Voice Students: Ability to memorize lyrics and sing harmonies.
Guitar and Piano Students: Ability to play chords, pentatonic scales and read chord charts.
Bass Students: Ability to read chord charts, play root notes of chords and play with a metronome.
Drummers: Ability to read chord charts, play a beat with the metronome and do basic fills without losing the time.
Guitar and bass students must have electric guitar/bass.

MUSIC THEATER CAMP
Students can finally embrace their inner Broadway Star and spend a week at UpBeat Music and Art's Musical Theatre Camp! Through acting games, vocal exercises, and rehearsals, students will learn the fundamentals of performing musical theatre. Wrap up the week with a Showcase, where students will perform an ensemble number and their own solo song! Featuring songs and dances from: Wicked, The Great Comet, Hamilton, Fun Home, Matilda, Billy Elliott and MORE!
