Violin Teacher Chicago


Violinist Lara Madden has had the pleasure of performing throughout the United States and Europe. As an enthusiastic orchestral musician, she has performed in venues at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, Bowdoin College’s Studzinski Recital Hall, and Carnegie Hall. She has performed with the Jacobs School of Music’s Concert Orchestra, Chicago’s Salt Creek Chamber Orchestra, and Bowdoin Music Festival’s Orchestra.

She has collaborated with artists such as Steven Doane from Eastman School of Music and conductors Gustavo Dudamel and Cliff Colnot of DePaul University. Last summer she attended Bowdoin Music Festival where she had the honor of studying with Olga Kaler and Frank Huang. She has attended Casalmaggiore Music Festival in Italy, as well as Meadowmount School of Music in New York.

Originally from River Forest, Illinois, Lara began studying the violin at the age of three, and attended music programs throughout the Chicago area during her teen years. She is an avid chamber musician, and was featured on Chicago’s WFMT radio station performing the Arensky Piano Trio in 2010. Lara has a passion for physical fitness and practices yoga and running in her spare time. She is a firm believer in holistic wellness, and supports that music making corresponds with physical and mental well being.
