Rachel Nash is a Chicago composer, musician and dancer. Immersed in the arts from a very young age, Rachel realized her passion for music very early on. While growing up in her hometown near Cleveland, she spent the majority of her time practicing, writing, and performing. In 2017, she received a BA in Music Composition from Columbia College Chicago, where she studied composition, piano and voice under the direction of Kenn Kumpf, Philip Seward, Lon Ellenberger and Jeff Morrow.
Rachel has had multiple choral and instrumental pieces performed, and spent a over a year composing a full length opera for SATB choir, strings and piano, which premiered in early 2016. Additionally, she has been a dancer for over 18 years, and currently dances for a Chicago-based company and is a teaching artist for Design Dance. Rachel enjoys being able to build relationships with her students and is grateful she can share her passions for the arts and education.
