Fretted Instruments & Piano

Enrique Vargas is an instrumentalist and producer living in Chicago. He plays piano, guitar, double bass, and electric bass, while also teaching, composing, and arranging.

Enrique has interests in many types of music, such as jazz, R&B, electronic pop, and classical, and combines them in his compositions and teachings. He utilizes both traditional and modern teaching methods, while keeping the music playful and engaging.

Enrique graduated from Berklee College of Music, earning two performance-based awards along the way. Since then, he’s earned a DCASE grant, toured with a rock band, recorded with/for various artists, and recorded his debut album, Short Circuit, set to release in 2026.
