Spring 2026 Session Lesson Sign-ups

March 30 - June 14

Please provide your preferences below and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Current/returning students will have until Monday, December 8th to sign up for winter lessons, after which we will open our enrollment to other/new student requests.

As always, we will do our best to accommodate your request, and schedule you with your preferred teacher at your preferred time, subject to instructor availability.

STUDIO CLOSURE DATES:

  • March 22-29 (Spring Break)

  • Saturday, April 4 (Saturday before Easter)

  • Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day)

No invoices will include the dates above, so scheduling make-ups will not be necessary.

Invoices will be issued after lesson confirmations are sent out. Payment is due within 7 days of receipt of the invoice (for both monthly and term-billing). UpBeat requires all parent billing profiles in our parent portal (Pike13) to have an updated credit card on file, and reserves the right to charge the card on file to cover any incidental costs* or delinquent balances.

UpBeat charges a $25 administrative fee for each student at the beginning of every session. The fee will cover the cost of any theory handouts, sheet music that must be purchased and downloaded, and other small weekly paper resources your student’s teacher regularly uses through the course of their instruction, outside of lesson books and your student’s UpBeat Binder.

As a gentle reminder, UpBeat’s Cancellation Policy requires a lesson to be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time in order qualify for a make-up lesson. Each student is entitled to up to two make-up lessons per session with proper 24-hour notification ahead of time. Make-up lessons are valid only within the session, and do not roll over into the next session. “No shows” or failure to notify the school 24 hours prior are considered a forfeited lesson. If you know ahead of time that you cannot make a lesson, please notify us by emailing the studio manager at srodites@upbeatma.org or info@upbeatma.org, or by calling/texting (773) 384-3469. While our scheduler and Studio Manager will do their best to ensure students are most often placed with their regularly-scheduled teachers, UpBeat reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher for a make-up lesson or in the event of a staff member's absence. There are no refunds on unused or cancelled lessons, unless the cancellation is a result of an UpBeat staff member's cancellation or studio closure.

After a session has begun, if you need to cancel the remainder of your weekly lessons for the rest of the session, UpBeat will issue a refund to you equal to the cost of the lessons, less the amount of the cost of two weeks of lessons for each child and each discipline your child is studying. Upon the refund issuance, your student’s lesson slots are no longer held on our roster.
